15 Years of Giving – Blisworth Tapestry Group

Blisworth Tapestry Group tell us their story of how our funding has made a difference.

We would just like to say how well our “Stitchery Do” group has progressed throughout the two years with £3000 funding from Northamptonshire Community Foundation! We have been able to employ skilled tutors from the Northampton Embroiderer’s Guild widening our stitch skills. Increased our membership and still growing every month with enthusiastic like minded people.  Last year we enjoyed tutored specialised visits to locations for patchwork such as The Bramble Patch at Weedon, Lady Sew & Sew at Henley-on-Thames, NEC Festival of quilts. More outings for the group are organised for this year too!

We have also been able to purchase equipment and materials, plus a new Janome Sewing Machine to help us train new members and update their out dated machines. A big thank you NCF!
